Behaving unique among Skyrim's many unique enemy types, the Nemesis spawn with the same weaknesses and armor that you have. Niphredil, for example, will have a bow to shoot at you and you'll have the same armor and weapon he does. Once you kill him, he'll return to whomever it was that killed him with the armor and weapon from the last time you fought him. When you attack him, the Nemesis will have a limit on how many hits it can do, based on how much damage you'll be able to take. The Nemesis are location-specific, so if you wanted to hunt down a particular one, you could search for those tags in the console.
Late game content is a bit sparse in Skyrim in comparison to other titles in the franchise but the mod is a welcome addition. The Nemesis aspect is an interesting new way to approach enemy AI. And like all things in Skyrim, it adds character to this otherwise vanilla game. As you level up your nemesis, it'll get some special abilities.
